Women & Children’s Hospital is planning a new five story, 190,000 sq. foot Outpatient Diagnostic & Treatment Center on Hodge Avenue. This Class A medical office building is vital to the long-term viability of Women & Children’s Hospital, a Kaleida Health facility that is the regional center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric, neonatal, perinatal and obstetrical services in Western New York and beyond.  This center will create several benefits for patient families and specialized physician, nursing and other clinical staffs, and will secure jobs and services currently available within the City of Buffalo.  For example:
  • Patient care provided within the new  center will be more effectively and efficiently delivered in a more comfortable and family-friendly environment for more than 100,000 patient  visits annually.

  • Patients with multiple special and  developmental needs attending outpatient clinic visits will have improved  access to these facilities via an enclosed bridge connecting the parking ramp  on Hodge Ave. to the new center and the main hospital  campus.

  • Recruitment and retention of specialized  physician, nursing and other clinical staff will be enhanced with new  state-of-the-art facilities as Women & Children’s Hospital competes with regional pediatric medical centers throughout the US to recruit and retain the  very best specialists.

  • Investment of $102 million ensures the  funding and expertise necessary to construct this state-of-the-art, Class A  medical office space and forward key strategic initiatives of Women & Children’s Hospital.
