Digestive Diseases and Nutrition Center: Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
Anita M. Crawley obtained her BS in Nursing from D'Youville College.
She then worked as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at
Children's Hospital of Buffalo while working on her Master's Degree. Anita
obtained her MS in Child Health Nursing from the State University of New York at
Buffalo. She then worked as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Division of
Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Children's Hospital prior to accepting a
position as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Digestive Diseases & Nutrition
Center.
Anita is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the American
Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), recertified 2001.
Kathy McDonnell, PNP - Kathy received her Bachelor of Science degree
from Niagara University and received her Master's Degree in Nursing from the State
University of New York at Buffalo in 1982. Kathy is a member of the National and
local Nurse Practitioner Association as well as the WNY Breastfeeding Network.
Kathy comes to our department with extensive experience in primary care.
Kathy is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the National Board
of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
Lisa K. Pearson, LPN - Lisa received her LPN from Niagara County Community College
where she graduated with a 4.0. She joined the Digestive Diseases & Nutrition
Center in September 2005. Prior to that, Lisa worked as an LPN in a large
pediatric practice in Niagara Falls. She also works in long term, rehabilitation
and home care and has done so for several years.
Lisa is our phone triage nurse, with over 20 years of customer service
experience and is responsible for the day to day office management of our
pediatric patients.
