Rectal Suction Biopsy

What is a Rectal Biopsy?

RECTAL SUCTION BIOPSY is a test to take a small sample of the lining of the rectum with a suction device. Most of the time the procedure is done without any sedation. This procedure is not painful as there are no nerve cells in the rectum. After the procedure you may notice a small amount of blood in your stool. This should resolve within 24 hours.
