Quality and Patient Safety:
Overview
The Office of Quality & Patient Safety for Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo identifies areas for clinical improvement and builds interdisciplinary teams seeking innovative, effective, and practical solutions. The interdisciplinary teams are generally led by staff physicians and include representation from nursing, pharmacy, administration and other departments. Initiatives are data-driven and outcomes-oriented.
In addition to improving the quality of care at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, many of our teams have been nationally recognized, including by receiving awards and grants funding, through authoring peer-reviewed publications and presenting at academic conferences across the country.
