The Division of Adolescent Medicine provides both primary and subspecialty care for adolescents and young adults. The division was established in 1991 in response to a growing need for specialized and multidisciplinary services for young people aged 12-21 years.

As an American Board of Pediatrics recognized sub-specialty, the Division of Adolescent Medicine is part of the Department of Pediatrics and affiliated with the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. A qualified and diverse staff provides unique services which focus on the health and psychosocial needs of adolescents and young adults, including: Services provided include routine primary care for patients who identify the Adolescent Medicine Clinic as their medical home. Sub-specialty services are provided to area primary care physicians for the following:
- Routine primary care for patients who identify the Adolescent Medicine Clinic as their medical home
- Evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa bulimia nervosa, including contraception
- Individual psychotherapy and assesments
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases
- School- based health clinics as Kensington High School and Grover Cleveland High School
