The Center provides specialized comprehensive services for high-risk pregnancies involving maternal and/or fetal complications. Women with complex medical issues will receive a thorough evaluation and meticulously formulated treatment plans. The environment at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo is unique in that pediatric subspecialty and maternal and fetal medicine specialists are located under one roof. This allows a team approach to the care of babies with congenital problems, and allows for a continuum of care extending from intrauterine life to early adulthood.

• Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians
• Preconception Counseling
• Genetic evaluation by a certified genetic counselor
• State of the arts imaging that includes Ultrasound (targeted anomaly exams, nuchal translucency) and Fetal MRI
• Management of mutiple gestations
• Diabetic monitoring and teaching
• Fetal anomalies, e.g. congenital diaphragmatic hernia, abdominal wall defects, lung lesions, twin twin transfusion sydrome, skeletal dysplasia
• Amniocentesis/PUBS/fetal transfusions
• Prenatal consult with a Neonatologist and Pediatric Specialists including surgery, urology, neurosurgery, cardiology, orthopedics
• Social Work
• Nutritional Counseling
• Psychiatric Services

A Maternal-Fetal medicine specialist is available is available 24/7 to the community for consulation. Contact 878-1227 (answering service) after hours and on weekends/holidays.
